Though the love between this pair was true, it was doomed to tragedy from the start. Feathertail struggled with loyalty to her Clan after they betrayed her to Tigerstar, but found peace in forgiveness, and gave her life to save the cat she came to love above all others. Prickly Crowpaw had trouble connecting with the rest of the questing crew until Feathertail reached out to him, and he fell quickly for her kindness and warmth - he took on her name after her death, desperate to hold onto her somehow.
