Though separated by many moons of age, these two found friendship and comfort in each other in the days of the Great Storm. As a young cat, Briarlight was paralyzed from the waist down by a falling tree. While she initially struggled with not being able to contribute like other warriors, her eternally shining spirit proved that her worth came from just being her. Purdy was already old when he led the sun-drown questing cats on a somewhat rambling path through Twolegplace. When the Clans met him again later, even older now and clearly lonely, he was brought back to ThunderClan and given a true home telling long-winded stories and offering warm friendship to all around him.
